Tropical Chicken is an eco-friendly screen-printing project founded in STUDIO EX.

All manufacturing of the screens is done by myself using locally sourced materials. All materials needed to print professionally, including Wood to build frames, fabrics, accents, lamps/lightboxes, tables, and drying racks, are handmade from recycled materials.

Emulsions and chemicals that have been locally sourced and correctly disposed of.

The ethos of Tropical Chicken is to be environmentally friendly, sustainable, and by 2003, print chemical-free using natural pigments, working with artists such as Ruth Barry to develop fabric dyes that can be derived from plant pigment.

The project is open to collaborations with all artists and anyone who wants to take part and participate.
